Alumina

Classical single remedy

What it’s reached for

Constipation — Nux Vomica vs. Bryonia vs. Alumina vs. Silicea vs. Lycopodium: no desire for stool and no ability to strain even when it is soft; great straining, the rectum dry and inactive; the classic remedy for the constipation of the very young and the elderly.

Leucorrhoea — Sepia vs. Kreosotum vs. Borax vs. Alumina vs. Pulsatilla: a profuse, watery, transparent discharge that runs down to the heels, worse in the daytime and after the periods, with great fatigue and otherwise very dry membranes.
