Sore Throat / Tonsillitis — Belladonna vs. Hepar Sulph vs. Mercurius vs. Apis: throat looks glossy, puffy and water-logged, stinging pains, worse from heat and warm drinks, better for cold, little or no thirst.
Hives / Urticaria — Apis vs. Urtica Urens vs. Rhus Toxicodendron vs. Natrum Muriaticum vs. Dulcamara: rose-coloured wheals with stinging, burning pains and marked puffy swelling, much worse from heat and a warm bath, better for cold applications, little thirst.
Cystitis / Burning Urine — Cantharis vs. Apis vs. Sarsaparilla vs. Staphysagria vs. Berberis: stinging, burning pain especially with the last few drops, scanty urine, with puffiness and no thirst, better for cold.
Tired or Watering Eyes — Euphrasia vs. Ruta vs. Natrum Mur vs. Pulsatilla vs. Apis: puffy, bag-like, water-logged swelling of the lids with stinging pain, better for cold bathing.
Insect Bites & Stings — Apis vs. Ledum vs. Hypericum vs. Urtica Urens vs. Cantharis: a bee- or wasp-sting reaction.
Potency: 30C every 1–2 hours while swelling is active; seek help if the throat or breathing is affected.
