Classical single remedy

raw, burning, blistering pain, intensely worse for the least touch; the classic burn and scald remedy, also burning urination. (Boericke)

What it’s reached for

  • a burn or scald once the skin is unbroken (external Ø, well diluted).
  • a prickly-heat type eruption that burns and stings.

Cystitis / Burning Urine — Cantharis vs. Apis vs. Sarsaparilla vs. Staphysagria vs. Berberis: an intolerable constant urging with cutting, burning pain before, during and after passing water, which comes only drop by drop; the leading acute-cystitis remedy.

Insect Bites & Stings — Apis vs. Ledum vs. Hypericum vs. Urtica Urens vs. Cantharis: stings and bites with rapidly forming blisters and a raw, scalded, burning feeling.

Potency: 30C every 2-3 hours while the burning is acute.
