Ferrum Magneticum

Classical single remedy

the early-fever remedy between Aconite and the others — a low-grade fever coming on slowly, flushing easily, a short hard cough, no strong keynotes. (Boericke)

What it’s reached for

  • the first day of a cold or fever with no clear picture yet.
  • a nosebleed or a hot, flushed face in an anaemic child.

Earache — Belladonna vs. Chamomilla vs. Pulsatilla vs. Hepar Sulph vs. Ferrum Phosphoricum: the first stage.

Anaemia / Debility — Ferrum Met vs. China vs. Natrum Mur vs. Calcarea Phos vs. Picric Acid: a pale, waxy face that flushes red at the least excitement or exertion, worse from resting and better for slow gentle motion, with cold hands and feet.

Potency: 6X or 30C every 2–3 hours in the first day.
