Cough — Drosera vs. Ipecacuanha vs. Antimonium Tartaricum vs. Bryonia vs. Spongia vs. Hepar Sulph: dry, hollow, barking cough "like a saw driven through wood," worse before midnight, worse cold air and excitement, better for warm drinks and eating.

Asthma / Wheezing — Arsenicum vs. Ipecacuanha vs. Natrum Sulphuricum vs. Spongia: dry wheezing, the air passages feeling dry, a barking or sawing sound, worse before midnight and from cold air, better for eating and drinking warm.

Potency: 30C every 1–2 hours while the cough is barking; croup with breathing difficulty needs urgent care.
